We are devoted to utilizing time-honored weaving techniques that have been proven over hundreds of generations. Fibers are soaked, split, stripped, sun dried, and spun – by hand – before our loom masters blend them together using a complex rhythm of warps and wefts. We perform this work by hand to ensure heirloom quality and because doing so provides us the freedom to push boundaries of design and materials.

CUSTOM FINISHED EDGES

Making the world's finest handcrafted natural window coverings means that we pay special attention to how each edge is finished. We offer custom finished edges to accomodate each designer's specific needs:

Tailored to Size	Woven to Size
Each design is precisely woven by hand into roll goods and then inventoried in our Pacific Northwest Finishing Facility. Local artisans then painstakingly hand finish the edges and hand tailor shades and draperies to designer's exact specifications. This process dramatically reduces lead times, while offering a custom crafted product.	Each design is custom woven to order exclusively on traditional wooden handlooms up to 158 inches wide without seams. Continuously looping weft fibers at each edge is an arduous and meticulous weaving technique that takes time, but for those who can accommodate a longer lead-time, it offers a uniquely refined appearance.

Each piece is hand-finished by master craftsmen in the Pacific Northwest, down to the designer's last detail. We hand tie rings, hand stitch liners and hand fold pleats. The edges are meticulous and the fit is precise. This boutique approach invites a level of customization unique in today's marketplace. We invite and encourage designers to share their ideas and inspirations and to work with us to create truly their own inspired window covering design.

Our process celebrates the intrinsic beauty of natural materials and the individuality of human touch. That's true in the remote parts of the world where we weave our materials and it is true in the Pacific Northwest where we finish them. At our finishing facility and corporate headquarters, not only are our products hand made with excruciating precision, but our inability to settle means our team is constantly creating new innovations, delivering to you unique tools to design with.
