Hartmann & Forbes introduces Motor-Clutch System
The latest trend in home automation technology offers easy upgrade capability
Tualatin, OR (May 2006) In an ongoing effort to offer the latest in design and technology, Hartmann & Forbes launched their Motor-Clutch system, a battery-powered system that brings cutting-edge technology to the conventional clutch mechanism for window shades.
"Motorization is quickly becoming a hot trend in the industry, particularly with the capability to coordinate with home automation systems," said Hartmann & Forbes' founder and CEO, Michael S. Jones. "Our Motor-Clutch system makes these high-end window treatments an even greater luxury."
The new Motor-Clutch system is remote operated and uses radio transmission technology much like a garage door opener. Because it is battery powered, it does not require hard wiring into the electrical system or mounting near a wall outlet, making it ideal for any new installation or upgrades to an existing treatment. The system comes with a variety of control options including single- and multi-channel remotes, timers and wireless wall switches.
The battery-powered clutch is the latest addition to Hartmann & Forbes' expansive list of motorization capabilities, including RTS and IR systems that can be hard-wired into a client's electrical system. The European engineered motors are pre-programmed at Hartmann & Forbes' Northwest finishing facility before being shipped, so window coverings are ready for use upon installation.
